Qualified Teacher and Children's Author
Tracy Bullock, is often found hiding with her notebook by one of her three children. She found adjusting from primary school teacher to the role of mummy challenging: explosive nappies and sleepless nights weren’t as fulfilling in the early days. Fortunately, writing rescued her.
She now steals her children’s funny sayings and ideas about the world and pops them into picture books. When she’s not writing, she’s either reading or inventing educational games and activities to play with her offspring. You can find some of them here. (Games, not offspring!)
Sometimes she attends writing workshops, sometimes she enters writing competitions and sometimes she wastes too much time thinking about writing. She’s not perfect, but she’s an advocate for anyone who has leapt over hurdles and defeated dragons whilst on their own quest to perfection. Sometimes she writes about them.... in her notebook... when she's hiding... Please don't tell anyone - especially her children. Shhh!
As an experienced primary school teacher, I know how to add some zing to learning. School based workshops for KS1 and KS2 can be tailored to suit individual classes or schools. Workshops can be used to kickstart a topic, support literacy and reading weeks, or focused around a particular book.

My creative writing club - The Writing Den - will inspire your child to love language, play with words and find their voice on paper. I aim to open up your child's imagination, giving them the skills and the confidence to go wild with a pen. Brilliant for avid storytellers as well as shyer creatives.

Once a teacher, always a teacher. When I'm not running classes, I'm usually found buried in picture books. As well as writing them and reviewing them, I create picture book inspired play activities with an educational twist... and then test them out on my 3 happy helpers. You can see some examples here.
